Tomas Simaku Soliloku VII (fragment)

26 Qershor 2020, solist i Ansamblit Intercontemporain në Paris, ka punuar me kompozitorin e Universitetit të York, Thomas Simaku për kompozimin e tij të fundit. Jérôme Comte ishte 26 vjeç kur iu bashkua Ansemble Intercontemporain, një nga ansamblet më prestigjioze të muzikës bashkëkohore në botë. Ai u ftua t’i bashkohej nga Pierre Boulez, në pjesën “Dialogue de l’ombre double” ku Jérôme performoi në Auditoriumin e Luvrit dhe që atëherë “nuk pushoi më së luajturi”.

Profesor Thomas Simaku ka shkruar një sërë pjesësh shumë virtuoze për instrumente të ndryshme, duke përfshirë pjesën e tij fituese të çmimit BASCA Soliloquy V for Recorder. Pjesa e klarinetës është e fundit e tij në ciklin e kompozitorit dhe është shkruar dhe kushtuar Jérôme Comte. Ky projekt arriti kulmin me një regjistrim të Soliloquy VII të Simakut për klarinetë solo me piano rezonante në Sallën e Koncerteve Sir Jack Lyons nën mbikëqyrjen e kompozitorit dhe inxhinierit të zërit të departamentit Ben Eyes. Kjo pjesë e re u përfundua gjatë qëndrimit të kompozitorit në Shtëpinë Dora Maar në Ménerbes, Provence, në shtator 2019, mbështetur nga The Brown Foundation në Hjuston, SHBA.

Jun 26, 2020 soloist of the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris, has worked with York composer Thomas Simaku on his latest composition. Jérôme Comte was 26 when he joined the Ensemble Intercontemporain, one of the world’s most prestigious ensembles of contemporary music. He was invited to join by Pierre Boulez, whose ‘Dialogue de l’ombre double’ Jérôme performed at Louvre Auditorium, and since then ‘never stopped playing it again’. Professor Thomas Simaku has written a number of highly virtuosic pieces for various instruments, including his BASCA-Award winning piece Soliloquy V for Recorder. The clarinet piece is his latest in the cycle, and it was written for and dedicated to Jérôme Comte. This project culminated in a recording of Simaku’s Soliloquy VII for Solo Clarinet with Resonant Piano at Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall under the supervision of the composer and the department’s sound engineer Ben Eyes. This new piece was completed during the composer’s residency at The Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, Provence, in September 2019, supported by The Brown Foundation in Houston, USA.
