Serbian delegation quits conference over remarks about Vucic
Serbia’s delegation walked out of an inter-parliamentary conference in Montenegro over critical remarks about President Aleksandar Vucic.
A Serbian Parliament press release said that “untrue and groundless attacks on President Vucic and the state of Serbia were heard from MPs from Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Parliamentary Assembly, the Albanian Parliament and Kosovo parliament.
It said that delegation chief deputy Speaker Snezana Paunovic MP said that it’s unacceptable for the Serbian President, “who was legitimately and legally elected”, to be accused and insulted by “representatives of those whose leaderships are appointed by centers of power”.
“Paunovic and Ugljesa Markovic MP left the conference which was abused for the sake of “cheap political, demagogic, untrue and non-expert speeches,” the press release said.
The Serbian Parliamentary delegation was taking part in the inter-parliamentary conference titled Advantages of the Berlin Process With Focus on a Common Regional Market.
