When Jurgen Bala came to New York to join internationally renowned dance studios such as Arthur Murray Broadway and Dance with me USA (dancers Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy), he was already well-known in the world of dance and ballet in Albania. His sister, Lori Bala, is also a well-knowndancer at the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Albania.
He quickly became known as a choreographer who focused on storytelling through dance. Jurgen Bala went on to choreograph for the super-hit music video “Marre” by the famous Albanian singer RonelaHajati.
“Ronela and I are good friends. The Marre music video was such a fun project to be part of. We wanted to bring out the fun, playful side of the song, and get across the fantastic feeling the song instills in you,” said choreographer and dancer Jurgen Bala.
Jurgen Bala’s hallmark was his much-talked about appearances on national television in Albania, where he danced and choreographed for a string of well-known shows in Albania, such as Dance with Me, X-Factor, and Dancing with the StarsAlbania, where he was chosen as Top 3 Finalist and Semi-Finalist.
“Growing up I started to receive many offers to dance in various TV programs and theater projects. Shows like X-Factor, Dance with Me and Dancing with the Stars Albania, have been the highlight of my career in Albania. I have learned a lot from each experience, and I have grown along the way. I want to explore more about dancing and performing in United States and I look forward to all the exciting events we have coming up with Arthur Murray Broadway dance studio,” said Jurgen Bala.
Today Jurgen Bala is considered as a rising star in Broadway and Ballet in New York, where he won First Place Championship and Third Place Championship in ballroom dance competition. /albspirit.com/
