Vlora Obertinca: Prishtina

Prishtina is an ancient city called Ulpiana

It still contains old graves,

Of Illyrs and Pelasgians,

So many wars happened here,

Last one happened

For Kosova’s independency.

I was born and raised in this beautiful town,

Every rock I step into

Has an ancient history behind.

In this land lived

The old tribe of Dardans,

Who happened to be

Albanians ancestors.

An ancient nation

Autochthonous in Balkans’

History will prove someday

We might be on planet

One of the oldest one.

The simbole of Prishtina

Is called “Divine on the throne”,

If you see the sculpture

It will blow your mind,

For It’s half women, half alien

It is the Goddess

Illyrs belived in,

Is it so random that she was an alien

For they are not to be found

Only in the pyramides of Tutankhamun

I would like to invite the best archeologist

To come and visit Albanian territories,

For they can invent

More than eyes can see,

We have Butrint

In southern Albania,

With ruins of the castle

Of Caesar and Olympia.

So much to be told

About our ancient history,
