nuk ka rrëngjim në këtë hapësirë mitike
të ishullit të shurdhër
vetëm vjeshta e paplleshme
lakuriqe
e shtrin pushtetin e saj gjerë e gjatë
o zot si janë tharë drurët
palmat
sa pak pemë po pa fryte
kanë mbetur në ishull
thua ti se qajnë
sepse ua kanë ndaluar të çelin
vetëm përrenjtë e dikurshëm të kristaltë
tash të tharë
në ishull
kanë mbetur të dëshmojnë
për idilat
bashkë me disa mullinj të erës
që bluajnë zbrzaëtinë
qiellin lartë
e kanë mbyllur me rrjetë të çeliktë
nuk lejohet të shfaqet ylberi
është ndaluar edhe muzika kozmike
vetëm verdhësi ka
dhe heshtje.

(VERDHËSI DHE HESHTJE)
there is no shine in this mythical space
of the deaf island
only the sterile autumn
naked
extending its power far and wide
oh god how the trees have withered
the palm trees
how few fruit trees and no fruits
have survived on this island
it seems as if they’re crying
because they have been forbidden to bloom
only the once crystal-clear streams
now dried up
on the island
have been left to testify
to the idylls
along with some windmills
grinding emptiness
the sky high above
has been closed with a steel wire mesh
the rainbow is not allowed to appear
cosmic music has also been banned
only yellowness and
silence.
