Vucic: New Brussels discussions with Kurti due in two to three days

LESKOVAC – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday he expected to go to Brussels in two or three days for another round of discussions with Pristina’s PM Albin Kurti but that he could not elaborate on this.

Vucic was responding to questions from reporters during a visit to the Leskovac general hospital.

“PM Brnabic did well and reacted well, and replied very well, but will that change the position of the big powers? No, it will not. If I was an analyst, I would be able to comment on the positions of the big powers that you were able to hear. Since I am not, I must not do that as I would only harm the country with my positions, but what was noticeable was balance in some cases and a strong bias against Serbian interests in others,” Vucic said.

He noted that, under an agreement that was in place, he was unable to elaborate on the agenda of the upcoming Brussels meeting with Kurti but said it was in line with his recent discussions with a “big five” of Western envoys.

“We will have more information after that. Our job is to protect Serbia from all possible measures and damage to state and national interests and I believe we will succeed in that,” Vucic said.
