Happy 10 years of Independence my dear Kosovo! Today was a day of flashbacks…thinking of the days where I got separated from my family when the war started. NATO bombings were children’s lullabies. Thinking of the Albanian family in Macedonia that took me and my family in after we were kicked out of our country. Thinking of my loved one and my friends’ loved ones that were killed, in front of them. Thinking of those families where they were all killed to the youngest one. All the women that were raped. Families getting killed in front of their children. I can go on and on.
