ENGEL STATEMENT ON KOSOVO BORDER DEMARCATION
WASHINGTON—Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today delivered the following statement on the passage of Kosovo’s Border Demarcation Agreement with Montenegro:
“I extend my congratulations to the people of Kosovo on the parliament’s passage of the Border Demarcation Agreement with Montenegro. This is an important day in Kosovo’s relationship with its neighbor Montenegro. It is also a giant step toward visa liberalization with the European Union. I call upon our friends in the EU to do what it takes to reach that goal. Kosovo deserves the same fair treatment as other countries which now have visa liberalization and should be given this status without undue delay.”
